Replace media - Silent Brick Air / FLASH / Plus

Risk of property damage due to improper handlingHard drives can be damaged or destroyed if their top and bottom surfaces are pressed together. Only grip and press the hard drives at their edges.

  • To eject a Brick, one of the following conditions must be met:

  • The Brick is not in use and has been placed in the 'Export Slot' by the connected software.

  • The Brick is not in use and has been set to 'Unlock for Eject' via the configuration interface.

To replace a hard drive, proceed as follows:

  • ➤ Swipe your finger across the touchscreen of the Brick.

  • ➤ The Brick automatically extends a few centimeters out of the Controller/Shelf.

  • ➤ Grasp the Brick by its handle and pull it completely out of the Controller/Shelf.

  • ➤ Hold the Brick by its handle (1).

  • ➤ A: Pull the lever (8) on the back of the Brick upwards.

  • ➤ Ensure that the Brick does not accidentally slip out of the Brick housing.

  • ➤ B: Pull the Brick by its handle out of the Brick housing.

  • ➤ Slide the hard drive lock upwards.

  • ➤ Pull the hard drive out of its slot.

  • ➤ Insert the new hard drive into its slot.

  • ➤ Secure the hard drive.

  • ➤ Slide the brick into the brick housing until it clicks into place.

  • ➤ Slide the brick into the slot of the controller/shelf until the automatic insertion grabs the brick.

  • ➤ The brick will be automatically pulled in by the controller/shelf.
