Target Audience of this User Manual

This User Manual is intended for any person performing the following activities on and with the Silent Brick Library:

  • Transporting

  • Storing

  • Assembling

  • Commissioning

  • Installing

  • Using

  • Replacing Components

  • Troubleshooting

  • Disposing.

In particular, this manual is addressed to qualified and authorized personnel.

  • Each of these persons must have read and understood the contents of this User Manual. Following the instructions in this manual helps to avoid hazards and ensures the reliability as well as the service life of the Silent Brick Library. In addition to the notes in this manual, always observe the applicable legal and other regulations at the place of use, such as:

  • Regulations on accident prevention,

  • Regulations for safe and professional work practices.

Language conventions

The following language conventions are defined for this User manual:

  • The Silent Brick Library Controller is abbreviated as 'Controller.'

  • The Silent Brick Storage Shelf is abbreviated as 'Shelf.'

  • The Silent Brick Storage Container is abbreviated as 'Brick.'

Warranty and Liability

Our General Terms and Conditions apply as a matter of principle. These are made available to the operator no later than upon conclusion of the contract. Warranty and liability claims for personal injury and property damage are always excluded if they result from one or more of the following causes:

  • Improper use of the Silent Brick Library

  • Incorrect assembly and commissioning of the Silent Brick Library

  • Failure to comply with the User manual regarding transport, storage, assembly, and maintenance of the Silent Brick Library

  • Unauthorized structural modifications to the Silent Brick Library

  • Improperly performed repairs

  • Disasters caused by external influence and force majeure.
