Silent Brick Controller of the X series

Symptom

Cause

Remedy

The controller does not power on.

The power supply was not correctly inserted.

Slide the power supply into the corresponding slot of the controller until it locks into place.

The system does not detect the Silent Brick Pro.

The Brick was not inserted far enough.

Ensure that the Silent Brick Pro is flush with the front of the controller. This requires appropriate pressure during insertion.

The controller does not eject the Brick.

The Brick is in use.

When used as a VTL, export the Silent Brick to the export slot using the backup software.
When used as an SNAS, set the associated Volume offline.

The configuration interface is not accessible.

The cabling may be defective.

Verify the system's accessibility using “Ping” and correct the cabling if necessary.

The SAN release via iSCSI was not found.

The data port may not be accessible.

Verify the system's accessibility using “Ping” and correct the cabling if necessary.

The speed does not match the expected value.

The network speed may not be consistently available.

Switch to the Service Area and use the tooliPerf to perform a performance testdurchzuführen.
