Silent Brick Controller of the G-Series

The controller does not power on. |
The power supply was not correctly inserted. |
Slide the power supply into the corresponding slot of the controller until it locks into place. |

The controller does not detect its Bricks or internal Shelf. |
The loop cable was not correctly connected. |
Connect the loop cable. |

The controller display shows only "Starting up". |
The loop cable was not correctly connected. |

The controller does not retract the Brick. |
The Brick was not inserted far enough. |
Please wait briefly until the retraction has been ejected again. Then push the Brick into the slot with slight pressure. |

The controller does not eject the Brick. |
The Brick is in use. |
When used as a VTL, export the Silent Brick to the export slot using the backup software.

The Brick cannot be exported to the export slot by the backup software. |
There is a communication problem with the backup software. |
Restore communication or unlock the Brick using the emergency "Unlock" option in the configuration interface. |

The cabling may be defective. |
Verify the system's accessibility using “Ping” and correct the cabling if necessary. |

The SAN release via Fibre Channel was not found. |
Possibly the incorrect Fibre Channel port was selected. Numbering is assigned from right (0) to left (1). For a release to “Everyone,” port 1 is typically used. |
Correct the port number using the configuration interface or connect the cable to the correct port. |

The SAN release via iSCSI was not found. |
The data port may not be accessible. |
Verify the system's accessibility using “Ping” and correct the cabling if necessary. |
