In principle, all Silent Cubes long-term storage systems are shipped only with a temporary license that is valid for 30 days. During this time, you can use the system's functionality without restriction and customize its configuration according to your specific archiving requirements. If you need more time to configure the system, you can request a new temporary license key, which is again valid for 30 days. The Silent Cubes software informs you of the current license status in the header bar of the web browser.
If a temporary license expires, the data stored on the long-term storage system is not lost and can still be retrieved at any time. However, once the license has expired, you can no longer store new data on the WORM system. You will only receive a permanent license from FAST LTA GmbH after signing a maintenance contract.
In the System license entry section of the Settings | Licenses menu, you manage the license key for activating the storage system.
