Regular testing is conducted to verify whether the Silent Brick System operates compatibly with current software solutions.
Prerequisites
To ensure compatibility with the Silent Brick System, the software must meet the following requirements:

Operation as a Virtual Tape Library

The software must support tape library control and be certified for use with tape libraries.

The system running the backup software must be connectable to the tape library via a FibreChannel or iSCSI interface.

The software must support file management on a network share.

Select Configuration Type
To select the appropriate configuration type for the software, please consult with FAST LTA GmbH. In many cases, documentation for integrating the respective software with the Silent Brick Library can be provided.
