Additional global settings
In the “Miscellaneous” section, you can configure the date, time, and automatic log off. The log off feature ensures that the user is automatically logged off if inactive for a predetermined period.
Set Date and Time
Changing the time zone has profound effects on operation. A reboot is strongly recommended after making any changes.
To set the date and time, proceed as follows:

➤ Click the “Edit” button in the “Date & Time” section.

➤ The “Date & Time” window will open.

➤ Enter the IP address for NTP Server 1.
-
➤ Enter the IP address for NTP Server 2.
-
➤ Select the time zone.
-
➤ The current date and time will be displayed automatically.
-
➤ To confirm your entries, click the “Save” button.
-
➤ To cancel your entries, click the “Cancel” button.
Configure Log Off
To configure automatic log off, proceed as follows:

➤ Click the “Edit” button in the “User Interface Auto Log Off After No Activity” section.

➤ The 'User Interface Auto Log Off Timeout' window opens.
-
➤ Select a time period after which the user is automatically logged off.
-
➤ To confirm your entry, click the “Save” button.
-
➤ To cancel your input, click the 'Cancel' button.
Set temperature unit
To configure the unit for temperature display, proceed as follows:

➤ Click the 'Edit' button in the 'Temperature Unit' section.

➤ The 'Temperature Unit' window opens.
-
➤ Choose between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
Set the default slot of the Tape Library
When adding additional Bricks to an existing virtual Tape Library, they are by default placed directly into a free slot. Connected software detects this through a tape import run.
By changing this setting, new tapes are added to the virtual Tape Library via the virtual I/O slot and can be imported and correctly stored in the connected software via its import function.

➤ Click the “Edit” button in the “Default Slot for New Library Bricks” section.

➤ The “Default Slot for New Library Bricks” window opens.

➤ Select either I/O Slot or Storage Slot.
Configure Automatic Secure NAS Import
To enable automatic import of newly inserted Secure NAS Bricks, proceed as follows:

➤ Click the “Edit” button in the “Handling of New Inserted Volume Bricks” section.

➤ The “Handling of New Inserted Volume Bricks” window opens.
-
➤ Check the option “Import Volumes Automatically.”
-
➤ To confirm your entry, click the “Save” button.
-
➤ To cancel your input, click the 'Cancel' button.
Edit the Size of the Index Partitions
Adjustment of this value is expressly recommended only after consultation with FAST LTA GmbH support.
Under “Index Partition Size Defaults” you can modify the default values for the size of the index partitions within both the WORM archive and the Secure NAS ERC areas. These values pertain to SNAS ERC Volumes and Archives created in the future, as well as to Silent Bricks added to existing SNAS ERC Volumes or Archives.
Configure System ID
The System ID is an internal identifier provided with your service contract from FAST LTA.
During login, the system repeatedly prompts for this ID until it has been entered.
To edit the System ID, proceed as follows:

➤ The 'System ID' window will open.

➤ Enter the correct System ID.
